Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps
The
Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps is comprised of a dedicated group of Wyckoff
residents and Wyckoff business operators who unselfishly dedicate their time and
energy to help their neighbors in a time of need. It is the second oldest
volunteer ambulance corps in the State of New Jersey originally formed in 1929
as the American Legion Ambulance Corps.
All volunteer members are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and are initially required to perform 120 hours of training, then 48 hours of training every three years to maintain their EMT qualifications. This training is paid for by the corps.
The Ambulance Corps is stationed at the corner of Voorhis Avenue and Woodland Avenue in the Memorial Town Hall complex across from Firehouse #1. Anyone interested in learning more about joining the Volunteer Ambulance Corps should click on the JOIN OUR TEAM icon to the left for additional information.
"What
volunteers bring is the human touch, the individual, caring approach that no
government program, however well-meaning and well- executed, can deliver."
